My Experience With Lulus
Lulu’s is a fast fashion brand founded by a mother-daughter team from Chico California. Almost all of their clothing is designed by their team in California, and 90% of the clothing they carry is exclusive to the site.
Being produced for the North American market has some serious advantages. For one, the sizing is more likely to be appropriate for American body types. They have over 1.8 million instagram followers, which really helps them to understand and connect with their customers. They’ve been especially popular with millennial women and have grown quickly over the past few years.
Lulu’s is especially known for boots, sweaters , shoes, and dresses, but sweaters and other seasonal must-haves are always popular. There are a lot of other fashions to round out their selection. Jumpsuit sleeve tops and Accessories such as belts and jewelry are also nice ways to add some sparkle to your outfits.
Of course you can see a wide variety of sizes, including extra-large plus sizes. A lot of it does tend to run small, though, so you should be sure to check out the sizing charts. Returns are relatively painless, but there’s no need to put yourself in that position unnecessarily.
Fast fashion is all about great prices on good clothing. Lulus prefers to call itself affordable luxury, but you have to cut a few corners to get down to rock-bottom prices. Lulus fashions are carried at Nordstrom, so there is a certain level of quality. But still, these aren’t no-hold’s barred luxury pieces.
One of the places this model really works is for bridesmaid dresses. You’ll only wear the dress once anyways, so you’re not looking for something that wears well over hundreds of washes. Lulu’s has a great selection and there are sizes for every body type, so it’s a good place to start the wedding planning.
I was really happy when my best friend asked me to be maid of honor. I thought it was the perfect opportunity to show her how much she means to me. Then I started thinking about it and realized that I was going to have a lot of responsibility on my shoulders.
I went online to shop for dresses so that all of the bridesmaids could get their dresses delivered to their homes. We knew we wanted something reasonably priced but that would look great for the big day.
We decided to order something small from the sites to try them out. Obviously we were going to need to check sewing and fabric quality, so we got a modern version of a little black dress. It actually looked really cute on the site, and I have to admit, I was a little excited.
When I got the package, it was nicely boxed and the dress looked great coming out of the box. The materials and sewing were ok, but not really special. There’s not really a huge difference between most fashion lines these days.
The fit was a bit tight, so I’d definitely recommend that anyone shopping with Lulus should check the size guide. If you’re unsure, definitely go for the larger size. It’ll save you a ton of headaches trying to return the dress later.
In the end, we decided that the quality just didn’t fit the prices. There’s a lot of competition in this part of the market, and that means there are deals everywhere. Check out some of the better stores like Amazon.com. Bigger stores usually means better purchasing power and prices, so you should be able to find good quality that’s right for any budget.
