About StubHub

StubHub, founded in 2000, was acquired by eBay in 2007 and is the largest ticket reseller in the world. It offers tickets to more than 10 million events across 40 countries. Every purchase comes with a buyer guarantee ensuring that tickets will be delivered on time or refunded if the event is canceled.

StubHub's UK Fees Explained:

StubHub has a 10% hidden fee for buyers that it charges at checkout so be aware that everything costs more than it appears when you're browsing the website.

For sellers, StubHub charges a 15% fee which is a little bit higher than the industry average.

Overall Thoughts:

Despite the 10% fees, StubHub has a fantastic selection of tickets and very reliable customer service to back up every purchase. We recommend using StubHub if you're searching for the best price on your next concert or sporting event.

Alternatives:

Popular alternatives to StubHub UK include Viagogo, Seatwave, TicketNetwork, and Ticketmaster.

  1. As at August 2017 StarHub’s fees are 12% to the seller, and 20% on the buyer inc Vat. They include delivery in the price, but it doesn’t compare favourably with eBay (the parent company, which seems to push that business to StarHub) who charge sellers 10%.

No wonder StarHub is being described as the new jewel in eBay’s crown, since they sold PayPal.
