TicketOffices Review: Fees? Legit, Reliable or a Scam?

TicketOffices is an online ticket reseller that raises ticket prices way beyond face value. Not only do they try to sell tickets for much more than they are worth, but they also tack on hidden service fees (often over $100). TicketOffices likes to make it seem like they have the solutions to your problems when in reality, they are just preying on your wants.

After reading more than 80 reviews, we can't recommend TicketOffices as a trustworthy or legitimate source for buying event tickets.

Our Recommendation: If you're looking to get the best seats or the best price then we recommend using SeatGeek because it tends to have much lower prices and a better selection of tickets and events than TicketOffices.

My Experience with TicketOffices

I am a professional ticket buyer and seller. I look at tickets at what feels like all day, every day. That's only because I'm always looking for the best deal, and sometimes, those tickets sites that not many people know about have the best prices. I have to give them a shot sometimes. Therefore, I know which ones are worth the risk and which ones are better off ignoring completely.

TicketOffices looks and feels legitimate from the start. Its design is simple. It lacks a ton of ads and banner like other ticket sites are guilty of plastering across every webpage. It comes off as simple, yet professional. However, TicketOffices is a lot of acting.

Since I do buy and sell tickets, I'm not always looking for local events but events that people want to go to. The first thing that caught my eye on TicketOffices's homepage was the words “Exclusive Deals.” This led me to believe that there was something TicketOffices could offer me that no one else could.

Upon looking through the exclusive deals, I realize that TicketOffices wasn't giving me any locations. The deals weren't set to “local” either, so in order to see what places these deals were in, I would have to manually click through every single one. I did find tickets for a Carrie Underwood show in Arkansas, so I went ahead and decided these tickets would be worth the buy. Plus, they were 15% off through TicketOffices.

The tickets for this show cost $46 from the source when they released. With TicketOffice, these tickets were $50. At the time, I didn't think my 15% off had been applied. When going through the checkout process, the 15% off was never brought up again. I don't know if the ticket prices they showed me from the beginning were already 15% off, but if that were the case, they would have been severely overpriced. I do believe the “Exclusive Deals” were just an attempt at making me think I was getting a good deal.

Something I found disturbing was the fact that once I got to the checkout, TicketOffices stated that I had fees. However, they wanted my payment information first. This is something I see all of the time and is a practice I simply don't agree with. I will always want to know how much my card will be charged before its charged. That's just common sense.

What made it worse was the fact that TicketOffices stated: “A return e-mail stating that you have been charged for your order serves as acceptance of your offer to purchase tickets.” No, it doesn't. If I have to give my e-mail and payment information on the first page, there's nothing stopping them from charging me right then and there, before I see what the service fees are. The fine print here is a huge red flag. I don't want to get anywhere near that kind of “policy.” It just seems like a simple way to say, “I told you so,” after they've taken your money.

I didn't put any of my information in after reading that, not even my e-mail. It's for the best since all sales are final. TicketOffices has a strict “no refund” policy, which they go to explain as no refunds, exchanges, or cancellations. Once you purchase the tickets, they are yours.

TicketOffices has one of the most up-front “no refund” policies I've ever seen. I have to give them props for at least telling me they're trying to get my money, never for me to see again. However, I feel they're probably sliding by on the fact most people won't read the fine print. Proceed with caution, or really, just use another resale site.

Pros:

  • Helpful customer service when trying to buy tickets
  • Presence on most social media platforms

Cons:

  • Customer service is nowhere to be found when trying to file a complaint or inquire about transactions gone wrong
  • Hidden overpriced service fees
  • A false “100% Guarantee” and bogus “exclusive deals”

What Are TicketOffices's Service Fees:

Unfortunately TicketOffices tends to have very high checkout fees.

I went on the what looked like a local BOK center site to buy 2 tickets to a concert. I chose the option for 2 tickets to sit together and chose the area that I could afford. The price was $264 for 2 tickets. SO I decided to get them. Once I used my paypal to purchase I checked my email for confirmation and saw the price tag of $688.89. I tried to cancel immediately but there was no way to contact a live person. I tried for 2.5 hours. I called every combination of numbers they had each on led to a voice direction and never allows you to speak to a person. I filed a complai nt with the FCC and opened a fraud inquiry with Paypal.

    + PROS: none
    - CONS: Absolute dishonest vendor, with zero customer service. Run away from this website, pay attention to the URL tab as it changes when they try to camouflage their site..

  3. Purchased tickets that turned out to be invalid. Tried to work with ‘customer service’. They told me they couldn’t help me and that all sales were final and no refunds. They definitely did not stand by their 100% guarantee advertised on website. One representative told me they would call me back after investigating issues with tickets. No one called back. I called two days later and reached a representative who said he wouldn’t help me. I asked to speak to supervisor who said the same thing. I would go so far as to say he was laughing at repeating himself when telling for the 20th time that I would have to contact a different ticket outlet for help -although they also could not help since they had no order information or payment information since that was done through ticket offices.com. Beware of this company-you may regret your purchase.

  4. They charge huge fees which they don’t tell you about until you receive your non-refundable ticket receipt. I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN! PISSED!!!!

    • This is a totally scam page. They didn’t even mention the currency exchange even while they are dealing with countrywide events. They only mentioned it in the policy which is a mandatory step to complete the payment. Also, the policy contains no refund and no exchange. Their call service is all auto recorded one and I’m wondering if they have real phone counsellors or not. They have live chat service but only repeating the same thing based on their miserable policy. They said they are middleman to connect an individual seller to a buyer and they will pay a seller after a buyer pay the ticket. Then, I have lots of questions why they can’t cancel or refund my payment. They couldn’t answer my question but keep repeating their policy and legal response. You should be careful to purchase through their website because it is totally a scam.

They are ticket reseller garbage. Somehow they were linked for the ticket seller from the bandsintown app. The tickets were triple face value plus a 50 dollar service fee. These are the garbage people the government needs to crack down on already. Don’t make the same mistake as me.

I bought 3 $26 tickets for a Miami Marlins game from Ticketoffices.com by calling their number shown online 844-767-3644. The respresentative said they charge a $7 service fee per ticket and a one-time $14.95 deliver fee to have them emailed, for a total of $113.95. Ticketoffices billed my credit card over $256. Their confirmation email does show the order details or amount and when you call their customer service number or email them, nobody replies.

  12. Terrible. We were just robbed by TicketOffice.com! We just paid over 700$ for 4 tickets that are otherwise sold for 85$ each! Never again!

  13. never got my tickets went to show with confirmation number no luck,, out a couple hundred dollars

  14. they charged me in USD instead of CAD and didn’t tell me until after the charge went through. Even though I live in Canada and the event is in Canada. By judging from all the other complaints about this company it seems like this is something they do all the time. bunch of scam artists and google allows them to advertise as them as the number 1 search result!

Ticket Offices sold me two tickets at 15 dollars each and didn’t show the service fees until after I finalized the purchase. I’m no mathematician but 15 times two is not 46.20 dollars. I understand there are service fees for things like this, but they charged an extra 8 dollars (over 50% of the value of the ticket) in fees. Most credible websites show a confirmation screen of your total before finalizing the purchase. Deciding to withhold that information until after the order has been placed is sleazy and unprofessional. When I replied to the confirmation email they replied with a canned response basically saying nobody was going to read my email because they don’t monitor their own email. Congratulations, you have scammed a poor college student out of 16 dollars. Terrible business model, terrible customer service. Never using this service again!

  19. I thought I was buying tickets for the Madison WI Jason Aldean concert in March of 2020 from Ticketmaster but it ended up being thru Ticket Offices. What’s done is done, but what I’d like to know is……….when we get to the concert will we actually have seats – how do I find out if these tickets are legit? Thanks very much. Deb L.

  20. Ticket Offices scammed me out of $300 for tickets to The Office. Their customer service is atrocious. I would venture to say that they prey on naive customers, which I am not, but got snagged here!

  21. Bought Elton John tickets for WAY more than the tickets were worth, plus there was a $10.42 fee charge, I got to the concert and low and behold, I was ripped off. Used the website’s chat and was told we could NOT get a refund. I look on their website days later which reveal in this situation a refund would have been appropriate. VERY not trustworthy and SCAMMED me. 0/10

Do NOT do business with these scammers. You’ll either pay WAY too much, or lose your money completely.

Folks, there is a good reason that 45% off the reviews for this scam company are average/fair/poor. With 29% of the total being poor. I had a legit reason to request a refund – more on that below. But when I called them I was on the phone for 40 minutes and got bounced around to 4 different people. I was told: We do not refund money under any circumstance. They absolutely suck. Avoid them.

They sold me tickets at 44% above face value, but at the point of ordering it all looked legit. Then $68 added for a service fee, then $7 fee to EMAIL the tickets. Really? You can be an astute shopper, and even then it all looks legit at the point off purchase.

So why did I want a refund, which they completely refused to do? Cuz the event I bought tickets for changed to a different event, but happened to include the original individual act as part off a tribute multi-performer act. They totally suck, and the reason there are any positive reviews is that they create a lot of fake accounts then give
    themselves 5 stars.

+ PROS: They are REALLY good at appearing legit and honest.
    - CONS: Just read my comments as well as others left by other unhappy customers.

I purchased one ticket for a parking spot for 11/9 Elton John concert in Philly. It was very expensive once the service fee was added. I received a confirmation email for the purchase. When I went to the concert the parking ppl told me I needed a bar code which was not sent to me by email. I checked all of my emails and spam files. No ticket. I had to pay again for a parking spot. I just called customer service today and they insisted they had sent the barcode entry ticket. I am certain I didn’t receive one. They insist it was sent. Ticket Offices refused a refund. I lost $71 dollars. Ended up paying over one hundred dollars for a parking spot.

    - CONS: Ripped off. Very over priced. Refuse refund for ticket I never received

  25. RUN IN THE OTHER DIRECTION. Including hidden fees, and the fact the tickets were advertised in US dollar prices for a show in Canada, I was charged a total of $518 Can for two tickets that I now know should have cost slightly less than $100! I will be filing complaints with Consumer Affairs and the BBB.

This site is misleading and values their “professional sellers” needs over the end consumer’s. They do not provide support for end consumers, and refuse to cancel orders after they are placed, even if you are unable to attend the event. Contacting their customer support via chat takes you to a generic service chat line run through Constant Contact. If you ask for an order cancellation, they tell you that they are unable to do so, and suggest that you, “plug in terms like “fan ticket selling”, or “fan resell market” on search engines” and find a site to sell them through on your own. They even went so far as to suggest, “placing them on sale via social media, or privately among friends and family.” Great, I’m sure grandma will take these tickets off my hands. So disappointed. Until e-commerce sites like, ticketoffices.com, begin to act in the best interest of end consumers, providing transparency and support, the “rights of consumers” will remain a joke at the expense of profiteering “professional” sellers.

+ PROS: Slick site, make buying ticket quick and easy.
    - CONS: It is unclear that they are a ticket reseller, they push you through the sales funnel so fast, glossing over the truth, fees, return legal language (oh ya, you can't make returns), etc.

  27. I have no idea if I will even receive the correct tickets or even if they will work once I receive them. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.

  28. They are a totally illegitimate operation aimed at stealing money from unsuspecting customers. They don’t explain who they are when called. They don’t tell you what they are about to charge you or the additional charges that they are about to make and then they tell you that all sales are final and cannot be refunded, which they also do not tell you upfront. We purchased two tickets to an event the holder was charging $69.00/ticket and Ticketoffices charged our card for $685.75. I will looking into filing a small claims action against the company for their business practices.

Yes, paid about 3X the box-office price, with much misleading & possibly illegal
add-ons, i.e., the “protection” (insurance with “allianz” ) IN ADDITION to their guarantee,
and which the pricing & coverage is NOT revealed until after purchase,
very likely in non-compliance with Calif laws, and I’m researching that.
Needless to say, their CSRs know nothing, and won’t answer questions
about the insurance. Moreover, the tickets/seats they issue are NOT what the
box-office thinks are the seats. Prepare for surprises whenafter you take your seats
especialy if you haven’t checked the legitimacy of your tickets (which you MUST
print out yourself – NO WILL CALLs ) . All in all much that is excessive/deceptive/amateur,
    and possibly illegal.

  34. I bought 2 tickets on December 25th and then tried to cancel the transaction on December 26th, less than 24 hours later. I paid $125 for each ticket in the very last row in the top tear. Then found out that the tickets should have only been about $70 each with no hidden fees. This company is selling tickets they do not have and then if you try and cancel the order their reply is “sell them yourself, there is a no refund policy”. I asked where is that on your website? Agent could not tell me. I will never use this kind of service again. Plus the insurance they suggest that you buy is a joke.

They are not legit. I have yet to receive my tix for Tool concert in Vegas. Paid 459$ for four tix. When you call they tell you they are actively working immediate concerts. I’ve been given three different dates I should receive my tickets. Yes I can say I was swindled. However, won’t be last they hear from me. They send you emails kinda satisfying you that they fully intend to honor there commitment. I have friends coming in for this concert and regretfully doubt I’ll get em? This concert is sold out! Tix I bought someone has. Def not me.

  36. Would give a zero if I could. Requested a very specific section because it was in the Morning Call Box (section 113-117), which is a private section. I received tickets for a completely different section on the other side of the arena. When I called they said the sections are comparable, which they are not. I paid nearly double for the tickets because I wanted that specific location. I could have went to the box office and purchased tickets for the section that I received for 1/2 of what I paid. What a scam!! Buyer beware!!

Charge ridiculous fees and I got tickets that were literally at the back of the arena. Best I can say is their customer services was decent. Scammers.

  38. This ticket reseller is the biggest crook on the planet. Do not purchase anything from them as they are blatant out and out thieves charging exorbitant pricing instead of a fair, competitive market value price. In addition they add products and extras that are not needed to simply purchase an event ticket. To my fellow consumers take your business elsewhere. This outfit has trouble sleeping at night because of their unethical business practice.

Tickets were $30 higher than what the venue charged and not to mention about another $20 per tickets in stupid fees. Then a $7.50 digital delivery fee??? Ridiculous. Never again. Beware of this site.

+ PROS: NONE! Don't use them.
    - CONS: Ridiculous fees and no customer service

  40. Most deceiving web site and after contacting them the lady was rude as well. Site listed two tickets for $38.00 dollars each but bill came to $106.54. She said there was additional cost for delivery fee which came by email and a service fee. Not sure what service they were providing. I guess when they screw you of your money, it’s called a service provided. I will never use them again and hope others learn from my experience.

Very easy to purchase. Way over priced. Not so strong when it comes to communication.

+ PROS: Fast and easy purchase.
    - CONS: Overpriced and very loose on communication. No follow up on delivery of tickets.

  43. Do not buy from them!! They sold me tickets that were not released yet for almost double the cost of when they were released.

  44. I bought two $40.00 tickets which should have cost me $80.00 total (and then of course after I entered my card info, I noticed the $35.00 service charge added). What I hadn’t noticed was that I was charged $100.00 each for the $40.00 tickets! My total was $275.00 for what should have been under $100.00! This company is a rip off and I plan on disputing the charge on my card. They should be sued and shut down for sure!

The ticketoffices website is very unclear and deceptive. I attempted to dispute the charge to my credit card due to the deceptive extra charges that are tacked on and the unclear location of the seats. This failed and I ended up buying a second set of ticket from the actual Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis because the seats provided were so bad. I agree with others that when they screw you of your money, it’s called a service provided. I will never use them again and hope others learn from my experience.

    + PROS: NONE
    - CONS: DECEPTIVE and VERY EXPENSIVE and you will not know the locations of your seats until it is too late.

Do not buy tickets from this company! Charging twice the price of a ticket plus two different service fees. Total scam. Website is deceptive.

    - CONS: Charge double the actual price of ticket and two different service fees.

  47. Thieves. Robbed me for almost $300 and blew me off.

  48. ticketoffices.com is the worst. They are still holding onto the money I paid for a concert in March that had to be postphoned, and are refusing to refund it. And I found out from the performer’s website that they are a SCAM WEBSITE, so the “tickets” I purchased cannot be verified as authentic. Avoid these people like the plague, they are the lowest of low.

  49. I really wish that I had read this before purchasing tickets. They scammed me out of $250.00. I bought front row drive in tickets and received back row tickets from ticket master. I think the ticket is legit but not what I paid for. Oh and customer service reps or not customer service reps at all. They hang up on you, leave you on hold for very long periods of time hoping that you will hang up. When you call back they try to make you feel like you are being rude to them. I would like for this company to be put out of business and not be able to steal money as if they are doing nothing wrong.

  50. I purchased 3 tickets from this company only to find out after the purchase that the seats were not together. I later received several phone calls from an unprofessional representative attempting to further change my seating arrangement. I requested a refund in writing but the email was returned undeliverable. Please prevent this business from taking advantage of online shoppers. The surcharge for each ticket is 1/3 of the cost for each ticket. DO NOT USE THIS VENDOR UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!!
