TickPick Review: Is it Legit, Reliable or a Scam?

TickPick is a no fee ticket reseller that sometimes has great deals but doesn't have the same volume as other sites such as StubHub. TickPick also has a unique aspect to its platform that allows you to bid on prices instead of just paying the standard listed rate.

Our Recommendation: Although TickPick is trustworthy, if you're looking to get the best seats or the best price then we strongly recommend using StubHub because it tends to have much lower prices and a better selection of tickets and events.

My Experience with TickPick

One of the first things you'll see on TickPick's website is “Every Ticket, No Hidden Fees.” I love the sound of that. As someone who buys and sells tickets frequently, I know the value in no hidden fees. Ticket sites left and right seem to keep their fees hidden, and I just don't like doing business with those kinds of people.

From the get-go, TickPick looks trustworthy. They showcase the fact that they have been featured by some big names like CNN, Forbes, Yahoo! Finance, and others. This did instantly make me want to trust them a little more than some of their competitors. As I scrolled down the page, I saw a number of familiar names and faces. The first row of images I saw were those of bands playing near me soon. Some of these bands were bigger names while some were groups I had never heard of. I personally like being able to discover new events and new artists I might enjoy while browsing for tickets. It helps keep me in the loop.

I decided to take TickPick up on one of these local offers and go see a show nearby that I didn't know about until I visited the website. This particular show was not just one show but a small festival taking place not too far away. The tickets were priced right at $100 for the entire day as General Admission which I thought sounded good at first. However, upon further investigation, I found that the two-day passes were selling for $96 on the official website, and the one-day passes were only $65. There may be no hidden fees, but the starting fees were just too high to even consider.

Since I ruled out buying those particular tickets from TickPick, I decided I would check out a larger event where the tickets would be rarer in which maybe I could justify a little extra on the price tag. I wasn't sure who was touring, so I aimed to browse the site. The first few recommended artists TickPick suggested from the drop-down menu of their website weren't touring. There were no shows to buy tickets for.

I decided to take a look at the trending artists. This is where I found exactly what I was looking for. I chose to look at Florida Georgia Line, and the first tickets available were for the IHeartRadio Music Festival. The tickets were even at a wonderful price. There was a slight catch, as when I went to actually put tickets in my cart, I couldn't buy just one. I had to purchase 2+ tickets.

I was surprised that TickPick really stuck to their “no hidden fee” policy. What I saw while browsing is the exact price I got when I went to check out. On top of that, I didn't necessarily have to pay for my tickets right then and there. With ordering far enough out, I could choose to make payments through “affirm,” a monthly payment service. I would have to qualify, and the interest rate is more than I'm comfortable with, but it is a nice option that I don't see too often.

Though the options for tickets are good, I can't have them when TickPick says I can have them. I have to wait for the confirmation of the third-party seller. Luckily, they don't charge my card until the seller does confirm. For no extra cost, I can get instant e-mail deilvery which is perfect for a last-minute event.

I would likely use TickPick again. Letting me know upfront how much I'm going to pay is one way to get me to stick around.

Just had a disastrous experience with TickPick where the tickets that I bought were fraudulent and I was denied entry at the concert. Had a very hard time getting in touch with their customer service and missed the show. Beware when buying through this website.

We bought tickets to the Dave chappelle /Chris Rock show at radio city music hall after a very thorough search of other sites. We went through tick pick due to the 100% guarantee and no fees. For that guarantee we paid more than 3x the original asking price, although the price was similar to stub hub and others. We got to the venue and found out our tickets were invalid. The seller had gone to the box office that day and had their tickets reprinted which invalidated ours. For what it’s worth, customer service was excellent. They answered immediately and stayed on the phone with us for almost an hour while they looked into things. They contacted the seller who said he’d gotten the tickets from work and didn’t know what had happened. They tried to get us other tickets but the show was sold out. They offered tickets for the following night, but unfortunately we had a flight that we couldn’t miss. Therefore, they say they will refund our full amount. But it was extremely disappointing as we’d spent a lot of time looking for tickets before deciding on the “safe” option and going with tick pick. It was safe in terms of getting a refund, but I was not expecting to find out the tickets were invalid. Just beware that even a 100% guarantee is not fool proof. I would recommend getting to the venue as early as possible to check the tickets. If we had found out this issue earlier there may have been tickets left for tick pick to get for us instead. Unfortunately, it was too late for us. And while I’m glad to (hopefully) be getting a refund, I’m extremely disappointed that we missed out on a once-in-a-lifetime show. Afterall, the chance to see Dave chappelle, Chris Rock and surprise guests Kevin hart and Amy Schumer at radio city is unheard of.

+ PROS: No fees, website was easy to use, got tickets quickly. Good customer service.
    - CONS: Not fool-proof...

  3. Be Careful with this company tickets are not honored 100% of the times as they are supposed to, I bought 4 tickets for a Cubs game in Chicago, once at the door my friends were denied entrance, even when they showed the pdf with the tickets we got from TickPick (on the phone), invoice for the purchase as well, they take them to customer service and then asked them to log on the app using credentials wich was never part of the instructions once we bought the tickets, Same day as this was happening I called support, Im transfer to Scott Proverdi he puts me on hold for a long time, my friends get tired of waiting and decide to buy tickets, after this happens he says theres nothing he can do and we lost our money (very rude customer service), but he will speak to a manager and I will hear from him via call or email the same day, never happens, called a few days later now I speak to Mallely Salazar, she explains me that they should call the owner of the tickets and get transfer right away to us, wich never did, same scenario she explains me I lost my money but she will follow up and give me a call next day or email, that never happens 2 days later I get to speak with another person, this time I’m too mad to even remember his name, he tells me plain and simple is our fault for buying new tickets that even if it was at the middle of the game we would get in some how! What a joke so we paid for partial game? No! this is wrong in so many levels. I spoke to my bank if this dosent get resolved I will at least let everyone know about this situation, there will be 3 more reviews from my other friends from each ticket, we will put posters about this all around Wrigley field, speak to the cubs and their field, and even try to reach blogs and press releases… Please don’t buy from this company if you don’t want to be in this situation

HORRIBLE. Half of the time a ticket you purchase doesn’t work or a ticket you sell gets reported as not working. It’s like rolling dice. And if there are no more tickets available on the site it takes forever to get refunded. You don’t even get any additional money back for causing you to miss the event, even though they charge the seller a fee for the bad tickets. Don’t waste your time or money. So my no star rating is intentional when it comes to trust and ticket guarantees.

+ PROS: Cheaper tickets. They only charge the seller so the buyer gets a great price.
    - CONS: Tickets don't work half of the time. Takes for ever to get refund.

I had a fantastic experience with TickPick going to an Chicago Bears game. I decided to check out TickPick because there were no extra fees. The pricing was upfront and I found the best/cheapest ticket there. After I bought my tickets I started to get worried because my tickets were just a screenshot that had been sent to me. I started horror stories online about illegitimate tickets being denied at the door. I emailed customer service stating my concerns and asked if the tickets might be transferred to my TicketMaster account. The person responded to my email letting me know that they had worked with this seller a lot in the past and have never had issues with them. They also said they would request the tickets to be transferred. This alone brought reassurance, then within the hour I got an email saying the tickets had been transferred to my TicketMaster account as requested. I was very grateful for them being willing to help calm my fears! We went to the game and there were no issues.

+ PROS: Great customer service. No fees. Good prices.
    - CONS: Not-fool proof, a seller could give you fake tickets

    This is a warning DO NOT use TICKPICKS to purchase tickets. Please beware this company is horrible; their customer service is awful. I paid this agency $642 dollars for a show that has been canceled and they refuse to give me my money back. Details on my experience are provided below for reference;

    - CONS: I splurged and spent $642 to take my husband to a concert and purchased tickets from TickPicks for the first time. I do use other ticket agencies frequently and have never had the issues or the poor customer service from other ticket agencies that I have received from TickPicks. Originally, the concert I purchased tickets for was canceled due to performer illness and rescheduled. I could not attend the rescheduled date and the support desk explained they have a very strict “no refund policy” if show is rescheduled. BUT they would resell the tickets, could not guarantee they would sell, and I would not be guaranteed my full amount back, plus they would get commissions for selling the tickets I originally bought from them. Next, the rescheduled show was cancelled. The venue said all remaining dates for the year, including the rescheduled show, was canceled by the performer and refunds could be obtained from point of purchase. Upon getting a hold of a TickPicks service representative, the rep said he could see the confusion with venue stating to get refunds from point of purchase, he would he ask his manager. Upon returning the service rep said it was rescheduled to ten months later (July 2019) and he could not refund the tickets. Again, offering to resell them with no guarantee they would sell or I’d get full amount back. Lastly, after checking with the venue website, there is NOT a rescheduled date for ten months later posted anywhere with venue as TickPicks claimed. The service rep argued with me that no other ticket agencies would refund me either and their policies are the same. Again, an offer to try to resell the tickets I originally purchased from them was made, with no guarantee I’d get my $642 back, with no guarantee they would sell, and of course it would be less commissions if they did sell them. Again, beware of this company. It is horrible and their customer service is bad. Refusing to give a refund for a show that was canceled. Canceled shows are noted as refundable per their service agreement. They claimed the show was rescheduled for ten months later, to avoid a refund. When questioned, the answer given was they would have to pay back the original seller $642 and that was too hard for them to do so. I will be disputing this, but please save yourself a hassle and do not buy from TickPicks.

I purchased tix from the site. When I tried transferring them, all I got was an “Oops, something went wrong” message. They won’t refund my money. Total scam!!!

+ PROS: If it were a legit site, the pro would be no ridiculous fees.
    - CONS: Total Scam... selling bogus tix.

I bought 2 tickets. Row 2 Pit center to a concert. The next day I was told the seller didn’t have them available (?). But they would give me comparable tickets for the same price. Comparable tickets for the same price were 4 rows further back and way off to a side (at this particular theatre acoustics to the side are not ideal and site lines are not perfect either). I indicated I did not want that replacement and would like something closer to where I purchased. They cancelled the order without trying to make it right. I get that things happen and apparently a seller backed out but at least make an effort to make it right. Will never use again.

    + PROS: Allegedly no fee.
    - CONS: Doesn't make it right with customer. Cancels order instead. Do not use.

BEWARE! I have been buying tickets online forever and never has a problem until I used this company. Purchased two single tickets via separate orders in same section and website leads you to believe they are available with a big green checkmark and the words “we will send a confirmation when your tickets are ready for delivery.” Well , little do they tell you that that ticket is NOT confimed until you get a follow up email;. Soooo what happens …I get an email 2 days later saying they will offer a replacement for one of the tickets that is “no longer available” (NO PHONE CALL?????) Problem is the replacement is on the other side of the stadium so I can not sit with my husband for what was going to be a very special Christmas gift. Very deceiving …. not transparent as to the real procedure…if you say a ticket is available then it should be available not “might be available” after they take your money.

+ PROS: nothing/the problem is the whole reseller system! Listing the same tickets in multiple markets

Invalid tickets, and were not offered comparable replacement from their site. Told “too bad, so sorry” at the gate of the event. You decide if it is worth the chance. Seems from recent reviews, they have ALOT of invalid ticket issues. Check it out – google tickpick reviews.

+ PROS: When your tickets work, it’s fine.
    - CONS: When you get invalid tickets, your loss.

WARNING!!! Parking Pass tickets are sold on TickPick that look like admission to event tickets. The parking passes don’t have anything that advertises it as parking and has a section and even a “seat” number. If you try and get your money back they email respond with “there is no section for seats that exist in venue that matches what is on ticket so the parking pass is valid” and will NOT refund you. It is a scam and a trick. Also the parking pass tickets are priced near the same as a actual event ticket so it looks valid and the parking pass is sent 24 hours before event so you have to pay much more for a actual event ticket at that time. TickPick waits until you purchase a new ticket before responding to your email only customer service to let you know you won’t get a refund for the obviously misrepresented parking pass. A good attorney should get on this for a $$$ lawsuit against TickPick.

+ PROS: None! Fake scam parking passes made to look like admission to event not advertised clearly as parking passes.
    - CONS: TickPick lets sellers obviously misrepresent parking passes sold and made to look like admission to event complete with fake “section and seat number”. A good attorney should get on this for a $$$ lawsuit against TickPick.

My event was complex because it was delayed due to Covid. When I reached out to TickPick, they were very slow to respond, and would give me a different answer each time. First they said that they would work with AXS to get my tickets to me and it would be a few days. When that didn’t happen, they then said that the tickets were already with AXS and I had to work with them. When I talked to AXS, they said that they had the OLD tickets for the first date of the event, but TickPick needed to send them the NEW tickets. TickPick said it was AXS. This went on for weeks. After being bounce back and forth, and TickPick saying they did their job and they washed their hands of me, I was directed by AXS to dispute the charges though my credit card. When I let TickPick know this and started the process, SUDDENLY they decided to contact the original buyer and WALLA! I had my tickets. This after so many emails that were ignored, and uncomfortable calls with AXS. I wish I didn’t have to go though so much just to get what I paid for. It’s ridiculous that TickPick refused to help until I went to such lengths. But I did get my tickets and I will be going to the show.
