My Experience With Zaful
Shopping for clothes online is one of the most exciting and difficult parts of 21st-century life. On one hand, we’ve been spoiled with same-day shipping and low prices which make looking fabulous totally affordable. The problem is, you can’t try on anything before buying, and who can you trust?
Most people learn about Zaful from social media influencers who rave about their awesome clothes. Of course, fashion influencers get paid to say these things, but they also have reputations to protect.
I wanted to see for myself if Zaful was everything that Tiktok said it was. There was only one way to find out, so I picked up a ditsy print maxi dress. I figured it was hard to mess those up and that it'd end up working out one way or the other.
This is where it gets interesting. My dress was only $12! Shipping costs depend on where you live, but for USA residents, you need to order $69 for free standard delivery. So for $70, I ended up picking up the maxi dress, a tie-dye 3-piece swimsuit, a t-shirt and sundress set, and a retro cross necklace. That was a lot of wardrobe material considering the price!
When I got my package, I was happy to see that the sizes were exactly correct. The necklace looked good, even several months later, but it was definitely $7 jewelry, made of zinc and copper, probably. Costume jewelry is a lot of fun and can really spice up your look, though, so I don’t mind. The truth is, even with 2 dresses and a swimsuit, I still had money left over that I needed to spend to qualify for free shipping.
Zaful is absolutely legit. The swimsuit fits me perfectly, but if you’re worried about sizing, try to get adjustable straps to give you a little more flexibility. You can’t return underwear and swimsuits and they’re hard to give away because of the ick factor, so try to be careful.
The fabric and sewing on the dresses are good, but there’s nothing amazing about it. The truth is, it’ll hold up to dozens of washings, and by that time, trends will have moved on anyways.
Since then, I’ve made some really great purchases on the site. For example, there was this one time I found a designer dress for 60% off the retail price! You need to go in with realistic expectations about the price and quality, of course. But I’m really happy with most of the purchases I’ve made.
Is Zappos safe? Yes, but most negative Zappos reviews mention that returns are difficult. Basically, you need to be careful and remember the low prices. Don’t plan on returning anything.
