TicketWeb vs. Ticketmaster vs. LiveNation – Fees & Comparison

This post contains affiliate links which means if you click on a link and purchase an item, we will receive an affiliate commission at no extra cost to you.

TicketWeb, Ticketmaster, and LiveNation are all owned by Ticketmaster Entertainment, Inc. and are widely considered very safe and reputable companies to purchase tickets from. These three ticket sellers are considered primary ticket sellers, also known as box offices, where you can buy original tickets at face value.

They frequently link between each other because they are owned by the same parent company. Ticketmaster has the most web traffic, LiveNation is more focused on tours, and TicketWeb supports smaller venues.

Fees on TicketWeb, Ticketmaster, and LiveNation

All three companies are known for having extremely high fees that can sometimes add up to more than the actual ticket price. Usually it's still cheapest to pay the service fees because face value tickets with fees tend to be much cheaper than second market tickets from resellers.

If Tickets Are Sold Out

Ticketmaster has two ticket reseller brands under its umbrella company (Tickets Exchange and TicketsNow), but both brands feature high fees. For the best prices, we recommend comparing prices with StubHub and TicketLiquidator, two other high-quality marketplaces.
